It strikes me that this may be a pivotal time I'd look back on later on. This extended period, in which I confront and attempt to act upon the director I am, in which I make persistent moves to realize this vision through the vessels I've been gracefully provided, in which I continue to discover how best to articulate the visions & hunches I receive into usable directions for performers, even as I am unknowing... It is as Li-Young Lee described: a state of knowing while not knowing, a knowing which is used up through the process of making.
